Break and Enter

Police are investigating a break and enter that occurred at a building under construction in the downtown core overnight on Thursday. Numerous tools belonging to the construction workers were taken. Assault

A 50 year old St. Thomas man has been charged with assault following an investigation into a historical incident. The man was taken into custody on Friday and was later released with a future court date. ST24002043.

Warrant Arrest

On Friday morning members of the London Police Service arrested a 33 year old male on the strength of an unendorsed warrant held by the STPS. The warrant was issued after the male failed to attend court to answer to several break and enters and other property crimes. The male was transported to the Elgin County Courthouse where he was put before a justice and remanded into custody. ST24002045.

Mischief

On Friday afternoon police were called to residence in the south end of the City for reports of a male party that had thrown a brick though the rear windshield of a vehicle. The investigation revealed the accused and victim were known to each other. As a result of the investigation, a 41 year old St Thomas man is charged with Mischief Under $5000. A warrant is being requested for his arrest. ST24002058.

Warrant Arrest

Later on Friday evening, members of the Lambton OPP arrested a 32 year old St. Thomas man on the strength of a warrant held by the STPS. Lambton OPP executed the warrant and released the man on behalf of the STPS with a future court date. ST24002065.

Warrant Arrest

Shortly after midnight on Saturday members of the Elgin OPP were dealing with a 58 year old St. Thomas man whom was wanted by the STPS on an outstanding warrant. The STPS attended the area and continued the arrest. The man was later released with a future court date. ST24002081.

Alarm/ Bail Violations

Shortly before 2am this morning, officers responded to an alarm sounding at a business in the downtown core. Police attended and determined the alarm to an exterior shed had been activated however no entry was gained. Police located a 43 year old St. Thomas man in the area and a query revealed he was currently released on an Undertaking with a curfew condition. The man was arrested for failing to comply with his Undertaking and was transported to police headquarters to be held for morning court. SST24002083.
