A 28 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged with Theft under $5,000 after being identified as the individual responsible for a theft that occurred at a downtown convenience store on Tuesday December 5th, 2023. A warrant for arrest has been issued. ST23021423
A 45 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged with Theft under $5,000 after being identified as the person responsible for a shoplifting incident that occurred at downtown grocery store on Tuesday December 5th, 2023. A warrant for arrest has been requested. ST23021446
A 30 year old St. Thomas resident has been trespassed from a retail store on Talbot Street. On Tuesday December 5th, 2023 officers were called to the retail store for an attempted theft in progress. Upon arrival, officers located the individual and served a trespass notice. ST23021471
Break and enter
St. Thomas police are currently investigating a break and enter at a downtown business. On Tuesday December 5th, 2023 officers were called to a Talbot Street address to investigate the report of a broken window. Through investigation it was learned an unknown person broke the window, entered the building and stole a quantity of cash. This remains under investigation. ST23021425
Mischief, warrant arrest
A 32 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Tuesday December 5th 2023, officers were called to a Talbot Street address to investigate the report of an unknown person causing damage to a building. Upon arrival, police were able to locate the individual matching the description provided. The 32 year old was arrested and charged with one count of Mischief. During the arrest, officers were made aware of an outstanding warrant with our service, stemming from an incident in August of 2023. The individual was transported to police headquarters where they were processed on the charges and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST23021424
Warrant Arrests
A 28 year old Brampton resident has been arrested. On Tuesday December 5th 2023, the individual attended police headquarters to turn themselves in on an outstanding warrant with our service for one count of Fraud under $5,000 stemming from an incident that occurred in October of 2019. The 28 year old was processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST23021426
A 44 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Tuesday December 5th 2023, the individual attended police headquarters to turn themselves in for failing to comply with their release order. The 44 year old was processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST23021430
A 27 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Tuesday December 5th 2023, officers on community patrol located the individual known to them to be wanted by our service for two counts of Failure to Comply with Undertaking. The 27 year old was arrested and released on an appearance notice. ST23021440
A 39 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Tuesday December 5th 2023, officers on community patrol located the individual known to them to be wanted on an outstanding warrant with our service for Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Fraud under $5,000 as the result of an investigation that began in September. The 39 year old was arrested and transported to police headquarters where they were held for court. ST23021477
RIDE
Approximately 200 drivers were spoken to during a RIDE check on Tuesday December 5th, 2023. Two roadside screenings were administered with both drivers registering a pass. ST23021469

- Always get a second opinion from family or friends regarding the situation
- No employer will reach out to you through apps like Whats App or Telegram
- No employer will ever pay you in crypto currency
- No employer will ask you to invest your own money
- Use the Canadian Anti- Fraud Centre as a resource to familiarize yourself with current scams and additional ways to protect yourself
