Stolen Licence Plates:
On the 23rd of November a St Thomas resident noted that the front and rear licence plates on her vehicle had been stolen sometime overnight. The matter is currently under investigation. Incident ST23020687.
Warrant arrest:
On Thursday the 23rd of November 2023 the St Thomas Police Service was notified by the Oxford County OPP that they had a female in custody on an outstanding warrant. The 33 year old Tillsonburg resident was transported to the Elgin County Court House and held for court. She was later released by the courts with a future court date. Incident ST23020658.
Domestic Assault:
In the evening hours on the 23rd of November the Police Service was contacted via 911 regarding a heated argument between a male and a female in the City. Police attended and through investigation it was learned that a 47 year old female had assaulted her partner by hitting him with several household items during the argument. The male was uninjured as a result of the assault. The female was arrested for assault with a weapon and later released on conditions with a future court date. Incident ST230 Incident ST23020713.
Found Property:
Overnight on the 23rd of November 2023 a concerned citizen reported observing two golf clubs that appeared to have been left abandoned on the front steps of City Hall. Police attended and retrieved a 3 Iron and an 8 iron. - Always get a second opinion from family or friends regarding the situation
- No employer will reach out to you through apps like Whats App or Telegram
- No employer will ever pay you in crypto currency
- No employer will ask you to invest your own money
- Use the Canadian Anti- Fraud Centre as a resource to familiarize yourself with current scams and additional ways to protect yourself
