Assault causing bodily harm

An investigation into an assault that occurred shortly after midnight on November 5th has resulted in charges.

On November 5th 2023, police received multiple 911 calls regarding a female being assaulted by several individuals. Upon police arrival, a female victim was located with serious but not life-threatening injuries. Through investigation, police were able to identify the individuals responsible for the assault.

As a result:

43 year old Sara Beer has been charged with one count Assault causing bodily harm.

48 year old Jason Daniel has been charged with one count Assault causing bodily harm.

Both parties are currently wanted by STPS.

38 year old Adam Windis has been charged with one count Assault causing bodily harm and Failure to comply with probation order. At approximately 9 a.m. on November 5th, officers on community patrol located and arrested Windis in the downtown core. He was transported to police headquarters where he was processed on the charges and remanded into custody. ST23019503/ST23019513

Impaired Operation 

A 43 year old London resident has been arrested. At approximately 5:15 p.m. on Sunday November 5th 2023, officers on community patrol were made aware of a suspicious vehicle parked near Victor Drive. Police attended the area and located the vehicle and its driver. Through investigation, it was apparent the driver was showing signs of impairment. The 43 year old was arrested and transported to police headquarters for testing by a Drug Recognition Expert. As a result, the London resident was charged with:

  • One count Operation While Impaired – Drug
  • One count Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamine
  • Two counts of Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Opioid (other than heroin)

The 43 year old was processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST23019542

Arrested

A 34 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Sunday November 5th 2023, St. Thomas police were called to a Talbot Street location to investigate the report of a suspicious person. Upon arrival, officers located the 34 year old known to them to be wanted on an outstanding warrant with our service for assault, stemming from an incident in October. The St. Thomas resident was processed and released with a future court date. ST23019522

Theft 

A grey Super Cycle bicycle with a blue pen light has been reported stolen. On Sunday November 5th 2023, the owner of the bike attended a church service at a church on Talbot Street. It was reported that the owner of the bike parked it outside of the church and upon returning, it had been stolen along with the owners hat. The remains under investigation.
