Dangerous Driving
A 65 year old St. Thomas resident has been charge with Dangerous Operation after St. Thomas police were called to the scene of a single vehicle collision on Fingal Line, early Sunday morning. STPS attended the area with Elgin OPP who reported they had located the driver, who had sustained significant injury as a result of the collision. EMS were called to transport the individual to the hospital to be treated for their injuries. ST23014767
Break and Enter
This morning at approximately 1:20 a.m. police responded to a burglary alarm at a retail store on Edward Street. Upon arrival, no one was located and police cleared the inside. Video was reviewed and it was determined that an unknown person entered and exited the secure compound by jumping over the fence. The unknown person is described as medium build, dark hoodie with light full zipper, grey backpack, blue jeans, black shoes. This remains under investigation. ST23014815
Arrested
A 39 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Monday August 21st, 2023 officers on community patrol were dealing with the individual on an unrelated matter when they were made aware of an outstanding warrant with our service for one count Fraud under $5,000 stemming from an incident in August 2022. The 39 year old was processed and release on an appearance notice. ST23014818
