Taxi Fraud 

St. Thomas police are investigation a fraud that took place on Saturday July 15th, 2023. A local cab company contacted police after an individual failed to pay for their fare after using the transportation service. STPS are working to identify the individual and continue their investigation. ST23012579

Failure to comply

A 54 year old St. Thomas resident is wanted by police for one count of Failure to Comply with a Release Order. On Sunday July 16th 2023, St. Thomas police were called to investigate the report of the 54 year old communicating with an individual  in which conditions of their release prohibit. A warrant has been requested. ST23012598

Arrested

A 31 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested after an incident on Talbot Street. Just after 12:30 a.m. on Monday July 17th, 2023 St. Thomas police were called to investigate the report of an object being thrown at a vehicle. Upon arrival, STPS were able to identify and locate the accused. As a result, they were arrested and charged with one count of Mischief and released on an appearance notice. ST23012657

A 40 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Sunday July 16th 2023, St. Thomas police were called to Curtis and Mondamin Streets to investigate the report of suspicious people in the area. Upon arrival, police located the 40 year old known to have an outstanding warrant with our service for Possession of a Control Substance – Opioid. The individual was arrested and transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released by the courts. ST23012605

A 31 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. As the result of an investigation that began last week, St. Thomas police were able to identify the 31 year old as the person responsible for a bike theft, subsequently being charged with on count Failure to Comply with Probation Order and one count Theft under $5,000. On Sunday July 16th, 2023, officers on community patrol located the individual on Talbot Street. The 31 year old was arrested and transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released on an undertaking. ST23012607

Assault 

A 20 year old St. Thomas resident is wanted by police. On Sunday July 16th, 2023 St. Thomas police were called to a downtown address to investigate an assault that had occurred. Through investigation and review of available video surveillance, STPS were able to positively identify the suspect involved. As a result, a warrant has been requested. ST23012640
