Break and enter tools found
Break and enter tools were found in a vehicle on Centre Street after police were called to investigate a vehicle entry that had occurred sometime in the overnight hours of Sunday May 21st, 2023. No damage is reported with nothing stolen, however STPS seized the tools for processing and continuing their investigation. ST23008673
Failure to comply
A 40 year old St. Thomas resident is wanted for failing to comply with their release order. On Monday May 22nd, 2023 officers on community patrol observed the 40 year old with a party they have conditions to not to associate with. As such, a warrant for arrest has been requested. ST23008777
Suspect to ID
St. Thomas Police are asking the public for assistance in identifying the person in this photo after being called to a local gas station to investigate a gas drive off. On Monday May 22nd, 2023 the passenger of the vehicle seen in the photo exited the car, pumped $50.00 worth of gas and then returned to the car, making no attempt to pay. Police are continuing to investigate. ST23008693
Residential Break and Enter
Approximately $8,500 worth of property and belongings has been reported stolen from a home in a south east neighbourhood. On Monday May 22nd, 2023 St. Thomas police were called by the home owner to investigate a break and enter that occurred over the weekend. Sometime between Friday May 19th and Sunday May 21st an unknown person(s) entered the home and stole several thousands of dollars worth of property and belongings. STPS are reviewing video surveillance and continuing their investigation. ST23008696
Recovered Stolen Vehicle
A vehicle reported stolen in St. Thomas was recovered in Port Stanley. On Monday May 22nd, 2023 St. Thomas Police were called by the vehicle owner, who, from the balcony of an apartment south west of Talbot Street watched the vehicle get stolen. STPS responded to the area and requested assistance from neighbouring police services as they searched for the vehicle. As a result of the request, Elgin OPP located the vehicle in Port Stanley. The investigation is on going as police review video surveillance. ST23008730
Theft
A blue 6 speed CCM bike has been reported stolen. On Tuesday May 23rd, 2023 St. Thomas police were called to home on Fifth Ave to investigate the theft. Through investigation it was learned that sometime after 9:30 p.m. last night, the bike was stolen from the laneway of the home. Police were able to identify several surveillance cameras in the area and are continuing their investigation. ST23008735
