Arrested – Weapons
On Thursday March 23, 2023 St. Thomas Police were called to investigate the well being of a male in the downtown area. Upon arrival, police located a man who was not in need assistance but was know to Police as having an outstanding warrant with our service. As such, 47 year old David Parson arrested for 2 counts Possession on a Firearm or Ammunition and 1 count Possession of an Imitation Weapon for Dangerous Purpose. Parsons was transported to Police Headquarters where he was processed and released on an undertaking. ST23004607
Recovered Stolen Vehicle
On Thursday March 23, 2023 St. Thomas Police were contacted by the Halifax Regional Police Service in regard to a 2019 Dodge Ram reported stolen from St. Thomas sometime in the overnight hours of March 8th. The vehicle was located at the border. An attempt had been made to ship it overseas. STPS contacted the local owner of the truck to inform him that it had been recovered. ST23004609/ST23003784
Bike Theft
On Thursday March 23, 2023 St. Thomas Police were called to investigate the theft of a bike. It was reported that a baby blue, high handle everyday traveler bike had been secured with a lock at an address on First Avenue. When the owner returned, the bike had been stolen. On Thursday March 23, 2023 St. Thomas Police were downtown attending an unrelated call for service when they located a woman who was known to Police to have an outstanding warrant for Theft under $5,000. The 32 year old St. Thomas woman was placed under arrest and transported to Police Headquarters were she was processed and released on an under taking . ST23004617/ST23004409
