Media Release Tuesday February 21st 2023

Break and Enter

On Tuesday February 21st 2023, just after 6 am St. Thomas Police were contacted in regards to an alarm at a Talbot Street business. Upon arrival, Officers located an insecure rear door and found evidence of a break and enter. Reported stolen is $4,000 in merchandise. Police continue to investigate and review video footage.

Arrests 

On Monday February 20th, 2023 just before midnight St. Thomas Police were notified by the London Police Service of a 29 year old St. Thomas woman they had in custody on outstanding warrants with our service. St. Thomas Police attended LPS to execute our warrants for Use Forged Document, Possess Property Under, Theft Under, Escape Lawful Custody, Failure to Comply.  The accused was processed without incident and released with a future court date. On Monday February 20th, 2023 at approximately 10:30 am Officers on Community Patrol were dealing with a 43 year old St. Thomas man on an unrelated matter when they discovered there was a warrant for his arrest with the London Police Service. LPS attended to execute their warrant. The accused was processed without incident. ST23002762

Assault

On Monday February 20th, 2023 just before 9 am a 43 year old St. Thomas woman was arrested after St. Thomas Police were called to a disturbance at a downtown location.  The woman is alleged to have assaulted another woman during an argument.  It was also learned the woman was wanted on an outstanding warrant with Aylmer Police Service. She was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Colin McGregor Building for processing. She was charged with 1 count of assault and later released. ST23002757

Mischief

On Monday February 20th, 2023 also around 9 am, Officers on Community Patrol were called to an apartment in the 500 block of Talbot Street for reports of a broken window.
