STPS Media Release – Sunday, March 17th.

Three children’s scooters were reported stolen on March 15th and shown in yesterday’s police media release. Last night, three youth were observed operating the stolen property and stopped by members of the St. Thomas Police Service. The scooters were returned to the proper owners and the suspect youths were taking home to their parents with pending criminal responsibility. ST24004160/ST24004230

A 37-year-old St. Thomas resident who was wanted on a St. Thomas arrest warrant was observed by a member of our Community Resource Unit in the downtown area. This person was arrested on the warrant and released with a future court date. Ref#ST24004203

A 27-year-old St. Thomas resident was arrested on the strength of a London Police Service arrest warrant. This individual was later released with a future court date and conditions to abide by. Ref#ST24004225

St. Thomas Police officers attended the business park located at 1063 Talbot Street regarding a shoplifting. A store loss prevention officer observed a suspect steal $20.00 worth of food items and leave the store without paying for them. Police are reviewing surveillance video and have a suspect identified. The OPP arrested a 34-year-old Wallacetown resident on the strength of a St. Thomas Police arrest warrant. St. Thomas Police officers took custody of this individual who was held in police holding cells for a morning court appearance via video. Ref#ST24004234

A 60-year-old St. Thomas resident was arrested and charged with impaired driving after being observed leaving a local restaurant by an alert citizen. This suspect was brought to the St. Thomas Police station where they provided suitable breath samples into an intoxilyzer, and later released with a future court date. Ref#ST24004236
