The London Police Service arrested a 41-year-old person with no-fixed-address on the strength of a St. Thomas Police arrest warrant. This person was later arrested by St. Thomas Police officers and held in custody for a court appearance. This individual was later released by the courts with a future court date. Ref# ST24007580
St. Thomas Police officers were notified by a concerned citizen of a potential impaired driver near the core of the city. Police officers attended the area and located the vehicle to investigate the driver and their sobriety. Officer conducted an approved screening device test on the driver who provided a sample of their breath for evaluation. As a result, the driver registered a warning on the approved screening device which warrants and 3-day drivers license suspension. Ref# ST24007594

In an ongoing effort to help protect the residents of St. Thomas from falling victim to online scams and fraud, the St. Thomas Police Service would like to remind the community on ways to protect yourself and things to consider while online:
- Always get a second opinion from family or friends regarding the situation
- No employer will reach out to you through apps like Whats App or Telegram
- No employer will ever pay you in crypto currency
- No employer will ask you to invest your own money
- Use the Canadian Anti- Fraud Centre as a resource to familiarize yourself with current scams and additional ways to protect yourself.
