Breach of Probation 

A 20 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested after police were called to investigate the report of an unwanted person. On Tuesday October 29th 2024, officers attended an address on the southside of city and located an individual, known to them to be on release conditions to not attend the address of concern. As a result, the individual was charged with two counts of Fail to Comply with Probation Order and transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. Warrant Arrests 

A 31 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Tuesday October 29th 2024, officers at the Elgin County Courthouse were dealing with the individual on an unrelated matter when they became aware of an outstanding warrant with our service in relation to an incident in July. The individual was processed and released on an appearance notice with a future court date. ST24019668

A 53 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Tuesday October 29th 2024, officers on community patrol located the individual known to them to be wanted on 14 outstanding warrants and a total of 23 charges, dating back to 2021. The individual was transported to police headquarters where they were processed and held for a morning court appearance. ST24019690

Theft

A grey, Norco mountain bike valued at approximately $700 has been reported stolen. On Tuesday October 29th 2024, it was reported that the owner of the bike had left it out front of a retail store on Wellington Street while shopping and returned a short time later to find it had been stolen. Video surveillance of the incident is being reviewed by police as they continue to investigate. ST24019703

Failure to Comply 

An 18 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Tuesday October 29th 2024, St. Thomas police were made aware of the individual failing to comply with their release conditions and court ordered program. The individual was located and transported to police headquarters where they were processed for six counts of Failure to Comply with Sentence. The 18 year old was held for a morning court appearance. Intimate Partner Violence

A 32 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested after police were called to a disturbance on the northside of the city, early this morning. At approximately 3:45 a.m. police attended an address and learned a verbal argument between two individuals known to each other had escalated, resulting in damage to a vehicle and a physical assault. As a result, the 32 year old was charged with one count of Mischief and one count of Assault with a Weapon. The individual was transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST24019723
