Disturbance leads to multiple arrests
Three St. Thomas residents have been arrested. On Tuesday November 22nd 2023, St. Thomas police were called to a retail store parking lot to investigate the report of a disturbance and to check on the well being of an individual. Bystanders that witnessed the disturbance had the area blocked, preventing the involved parties from leaving until police arrived. Upon arrival and through investigation, it was learned and assault had occurred. While attempting to check on the wellbeing of the victim, the parties involved became increasingly agitated and aggressive toward police.
As a result:
A 43 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged with one count Causing a Disturbance and one count Assault.
A 45 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged with one count Obstruct Peace Officer
A 37 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged with one count Obstruct Peace Officer and one count Utter Threats
The three were taken into custody and transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. No injuries were reported. ST23020580
Arson
A 34 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Tuesday November 21st 2023, STPS were called to an address on Malakoff Street for the report of a shed on fire. Police and St. Thomas Fire arrived to find the shed with smoke barreling out from the roof line. STFD quickly extinguished the fire as STPS took a description of an individual seen leaving the area, believed to be responsible for setting the fire. Officers located a person matching the description a short distance away. As a result, the 34 year old St. Thomas resident was arrested and charged with one count Arson, one count Failure to Comply with Undertaking and one count Carry firearm, weapons or ammunition. The St. Thomas resident was transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST23020548
Warrant Arrest
A 24 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Tuesday November 21st 2023, the 24 year old attended police headquarters to turn themselves in on an outstanding probation warrant. The St. Thomas resident was processed and released with a future court date. ST23020579

- Always get a second opinion from family or friends regarding the situation
- No employer will reach out to you through apps like Whats App or Telegram
- No employer will ever pay you in crypto currency
- No employer will ask you to invest your own money
- Use the Canadian Anti- Fraud Centre as a resource to familiarize yourself with current scams and additional ways to protect yourself
