Vehicle Entry 

Loose change and a garage door opener have been reported stolen from a vehicle on Gliddon Ave. On Monday May 27th 2024,  St. Thomas police were contacted by the victim who reported that sometime in the overnight hours of May 26th,  an unknown person entered their vehicle and removed the items. No damage to the vehicle was reported. ST24008701

Commercial Theft

Approximately $10,000 of Dewalt tools have been reported stolen from a contractors trailer. On Monday May 27th 2024, St. Thomas police were contacted by a business owner who wish to report that their locked work trailer, parked in an industrial lot on the north side of the city had been broken into over the weekend. It was reported that an unknown person had gained access to the area the trailer was parked, cut the lock and removed the tools. This remains under investigation. ST24008705

Failure to Comply

A 30 year old Barrie resident has been charged. On Monday May 27th 2024, officers were attempting to contact the individual who is bound by release conditions to a reside at an address in the city. Through investigation, police learned the individual was no longer living at the address provided and has subsequently been charged with two count of Failure to Comply with Release Order. A warrant for arrest has been requested. ST24008706

Warrant Arrest

A 32 year old St. Thomas resident wanted by police after an incident in the city last week, has been arrested. On Monday May 27th 2024, the individual attended police headquarters to turn themselves in on an outstanding warrant for one count of Assault and Mischief. The 32 year old was processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST24008719
