Assault/Threats

Two St. Thomas teens are wanted by police after an investigation into the report of an assault that occurred. On Monday June 3rd, STPS were called in regard to the incident that occurred between a group of teens, known to each other. It was reported that a 17 year old had been physically assaulted and had their property damage by the accused teens. Through investigation, officers learned of threats made online after the original incident had occurred.  As a result,

A 17 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged with:

  • one count of Assault
  • two counts Uttering Threats
  • three counts of Fail to Comply with Sentence
  • two counts of Possession of Firearm or Ammunition, contrary to Prohibition Order

An 18 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged with:

  • one count of Mischief under $5,000
  • one count of Assault

A warrant for their arrests has been requested. ST24009265

 Fraud / Obstruct police

A 25 year old London resident has been arrested following an incident in the city, yesterday afternoon. On Monday June 3rd just after 3 p.m. STPS were called to a bank on Talbot Street to investigate the report of a fraudulent transaction and unruly customer. Upon arrival, officers learned the individual had fled the area on foot. The 25 year old was located a short distance away and arrested. The individual was transported to police headquarters where they were charged with one count Obstruct Peace Officer, one count Use Deals Acts on Forged Documents and one count Fraud under $5,000. The individual was processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST24009221

RIDE

Approximately 350 vehicles were stopped and their drivers spoken to during a RIDE check in the city last night. STPS are pleased to report no infractions were found. Thank you for continuing to drive safe and sober. ST24009209

Intimate partner violence

A 29 year old Dutton resident is wanted by police. On Monday June 3rd 2024, officers responded to the report of a verbal altercation between spouses that had escalated, resulting in a physical assault. Through investigation, police formed grounds to charge the Dutton resident with one count of Assault. A warrant for their arrest has been requested. ST24009261

Vehicle Entry 

Approximately $4,000 of property has been reported stolen from a vehicle on the southside of the city. On Monday June 3rd 2024, the vehicle owner contacted police to report that sometime in the overnight hours their vehicle had been entered and a bag containing their laptop, docking station and other accessories had been stolen. No damage to the vehicle was reported. ST24009190

Theft

A bike has been reported stolen from a Talbot Street address. On Monday June 3rd, officers were called by the owner of the bike who wish to report that sometime after June 1st, their bike had been stolen from their address on Talbot Street. The bike is registered on 529 Garage and is described as a black framed BMX with an orange rear tire and red front tire. ST24009236
