A 48 year old St. Thomas resident was arrested yesterday, May 3rd 2023. Special Constables at the Elgin County Court House were dealing with the individual on an unrelated matter when they became aware of an outstanding probation warrant. A 33 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested on an outstanding warrant. On May 3rd 2023, St. Thomas Police attended a south side residence to execute a warrant for arrest for one count Theft Under $5,000. The warrant was executed and the party was release on an appearance notice. ST23007293
Assault charge laid after downtown altercation
A 61 year old St. Thomas resident has been charge with one count of Assault after an altercation downtown. On May 3rd, 2023 St. Thomas police were called by the victim who provided details of the incident that had occurred. Through investigation, police arranged for the 61 year old to attend police headquarters to be processed and released on an undertaking. ST23007287
