Warrant Arrests
A 32 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Wednesday July 17th 2024, the individual attended police headquarters to turn themselves in on an outstanding warrant for two counts of Failure to Comply with Undertaking and two counts Failure to Comply with Release Order stemming from an incident in June. The individual was processed and transported to the Elgin County Courthouse where they were remanded into custody. ST24012233
A 38 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Wednesday July 17th 2024, officers on community patrol located the individual known to them to be wanted on an outstanding warrant for several drug offences dating back to October 2022. A 39 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Wednesday July 17th 2024, officers on community patrol located the individual known to them to be wanted on an outstanding warrants dating back to August 2023. The individual was processed and transported to the Elgin County Courthouse where they were remanded into custody. ST24012253
Theft
Approximately $63 of stolen property has been recovered after a shoplifting incident was reported to police. On Wednesday July 17th 2024, officers were called by management of a retail store on Edward Street to investigate the theft of 9 decorative lawn items. Through investigation, police identified the individual and were able to recover and return the property. The person responsible has been trespassed from the store. ST24012259
A wallet containing cash and person identification has been reported stolen from a vehicle. On Wednesday July 17th 2024, police were contacted in regards to the theft and an attempt to use the bank cards in the wallet. This remains under investigation. ST24012270
A CCM Mustang Cruiser bicycle, valued at $1,000 has been reported stolen from an address on Talbot Street. On Wednesday July 17th 2024, police were called to investigate the theft that occurred sometime before 11 p.m. The bike was secured and locked. This remains under investigation. ST24012283
