Assault, Fail to Comply with Probation:

On Friday the 24th of May 2024 the St Thomas Police Service was contacted by a female resident who provided disclosure that her former partner had assaulted her. Investigation revealed that the 48-year-old St Thomas male was currently on probation, conditions of which included conditions of not communicating and non-attendance to locations related to the female victim. The male was arrested and charged with assault and eight counts of fail to comply with probation. The male was held for court and later remanded into custody by the courts. Incident ST24008517.

Assault:

On Friday the 24th of May a concerned citizen contacted the St Thomas Police Department to report a physical altercation between a male and female in a parking lot in the downtown core. The witness observed the female strike the male numerous times while the male was attempting to get away from her. Police attended and through investigation formed grounds to charge the 45-year-old St Thomas female with assault. The female was arrested and transported to the station awaiting weekend video court. Mischief:

On Friday the 24th Police were called downtown related to some graffiti located on a fence in the core. Fail to Comply with release conditions:

On Friday the 24th of May Police were contacted by the local bail supervision office to report a 35-year-old St Thomas Male had not reported to his worker as per his release conditions. A warrant will be sought for the male’s arrest. Incident ST2400854.

Theft of packages:

On Friday a resident in the south end of the city reported the theft of a package from their porch on the 30th of March. The total value of the items taken was $288.00. On Friday a resident in the north end of the city reported the theft of a package from their porch on the from earlier in the day. The total value of the items taken was $200.00. Shoplifting:

On Friday the 24th Police were called to an east end business for reports of a female shoplifter that had left the store. Loss prevention estimates approximately $250.00 in clothing was stolen by a female with dark hair, a pink hoody, and blue jeans. Photos of the suspect are below, however the face is obscured by the hood.
