Break and Enter 

St. Thomas police are currently investigating a break and enter incident that occurred in the 400 block of Talbot Street. On Thursday October 24th 2024, police were called to the area to investigate the report of an unknown person that had caused damage to a shed at the back of a business, attempting to gain entry. CCTV in the area is being reviewed as police continue to investigate. ST24019303

The 2010 Toyota Rav 4, reported stolen from the 1063 Talbot Street retail area, has been recovered. On Thursday October 24th 2024, officers were notified by city staff who reported that the vehicle was parked at an address on Ross Street. The owner was contacted to retrieve their vehicle. Fraud

A local business is out approximately $16,000. On Thursday October 24th 2024, police were contacted by the business who wished to report that a transaction, processed in July of this year had been sent to an anonymous person, posing as a regular vendor of the business. THe business was alerted to the fraud after their actual vendor contacted them to inform them they had yet to receive their payment. This remains under investigation. ST24019316

Warrant Arrest 

A 42 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Thursday October 24th 2024, the individual turned themselves in on an outstanding probation warrant. The individual was processed and released with a future court date. ST24019321

Breach of Prohibition Order 

A 58 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested after officers on community patrol observed the individual at locations in the city, they are conditions to not attend. As a result, the individual was charged with one count of Failure to Comply with Prohibition Order. The 58 year old was transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST24019329

Theft

A 32 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Thursday October 24th 2024, officers were called to a retail store on Talbot Street to investigate the report of shoplifting. Upon arrival, the individual responsible for the theft was located and charged with the Theft under $5,000. The 32 year old was transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST24019330

Failure to Comply, Warrant Arrest

A 32 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested after police were called to an address on Talbot Street for an unwanted person. Upon arrival, officers located the individual known to them to be on conditions to not attend the address of the call. Officers were additionally made aware of an outstanding warrant with our service for several charges dating back to June of 2024. As a result, the 32 year old was charged with two counts of Failure to Comply with Release Order. The individual was transported to police headquarters where they were processed on all charges and held for a morning court appearance. ST24019337/9343
