Fraud
Police are reviewing video to identify a female suspect involved in a fraud that occurred on Saturday evening. The suspect visited a local grocery store and used a fraudulent receipt found at a self-checkout kiosk to steal some items listed on the receipt and to complete a fraudulent return transaction for the remaining items. She selected the items listed on the receipt and then went to the customer service desk to obtain a refund for the items she was “returning.” A store employee confronted her and recovered the stolen items. However, the suspect refused to return the funds obtained through the fraudulent return transaction and fled the area. ^ST25001073.
