Warrant Arrests
On Friday morning STPS officers attended the Sprucedale Youth Centre in Simcoe to execute a warrant on a youth currently in custody. The youth is charged with Assault with a Weapon, Utter Threats x 2, and Fail to Comply with Release Order. The charges stem from an incident that occurred in December. ^1081
Later in the day, STPS officers attended the London Police Service to execute a warrant on a 37 year old female that was in their custody. The female was wanted after failing to attend court to answer to theft charges laid in 2021. ^1119
Impaired
On Friday evening police responded to reports of a pick-up trucking swerving all over the road and almost striking a guard rail. Police located the vehicle and following a conversation with the driver, formed grounds to believe he was impaired by drug. Following a drug recognition evaluation the 44 year old St Thomas man was charged with Operation while Impaired. The man is additionally charged with Refuse to Comply with Demand after he refused to provide a blood sample to determine the drugs present in his body. ^1112
