Thefts, Fail to Comply, Counterfeit Money & Sexual Assault Arrest

Thefts

St. Thomas Police are investigating a theft from a north end business. Management was made aware that the solar panel system on the roof was not working. A repair company attended to and discovered that the system hadn’t been operational for approximately 30 days, and about 2600ft of copper wire had been removed rendering the equipment inoperable. The damage is estimated around 5000$ and the loss of income, 12,000$.  The incident is still under investigation. St. Thomas Police are investigating a theft from a downtown business. An unknown person attended the store, removed items from packaging, concealed approximately 100$ of merchandise inside their coat, and left without paying. The incident is still under investigation, and video surveillance is being reviewed. ST25004093

Counterfeit Money

A downtown business called St. Thomas Police to report receiving counterfeit money. An unknown suspect entered the store and requested a specific product. The suspect returned to a parked vehicle to confirm the product, and then again to retrieve money. The suspect then provided confirmed counterfeit money to the cashier. License Plate of the vehicle was captured on camera and is under investigation. ST25004098.

Fail to Comply

St. Thomas Police were at a north end residential building investigating an incident, when they were made aware an involved person was on conditions to not associate or communicate with another involved person. As a result, a 24-year-old St. Thomas resident was arrested for breaching a recognizance x2. The individual was transported to Police Headquarters for processing and held for a morning court appearance. ST25004121

Arrest/Sexual Assault

A 53-year-old St. Thomas resident has been arrested and charged in relation to a sexual assault investigation. The victim in this matter disclosed historical and ongoing incidents. The individual was located in a north end residential area, arrested, transported to Police Headquarters for processing, and held for a morning court appearance. ST25004092.
