Theft:
Police were contacted by the victim on Friday November 29th, 2024 in regards to Christmas decorations being stolen from the front of their home. A 4ft light up Reindeer was taken sometime overnight on Tuesday November 26th into the 27th. Theft:
On Friday November 29th, 2024 the victim was unloading merchandise to a local store front when 3 unknown males attended the vehicle and removed several cans of alcohol before running north bound from the area. Anyone in the area of Talbot and Hiawatha at 4:58pm and observed these males take these items and are able to assist with identifying them are asked to contact STPS at 519-631-1224 or Crime Stoppers. Fail to comply with release order and mischief:
A 37 year old St. Thomas resident has removed his ankle monitor by cutting it off of his ankle. There are currently grounds for his arrest for fail to comply and mischief. ST24021731
Disturbance:
Police were contacted for a large group at a local eatery causing issues. On arrival police located a 19 year old St. Thomas resident who was intoxicated. The male was arrested and detained until sober and released on a Provincial Offences Notice for being intoxicated in a public place, trespassing and being in possession of unmarked tobacco products. RIDE
Police conducted a RIDE spot check with approximately 10 vehicles checked and 1 Approved Screening device demand with the driver registering a pass. ST24021745
Arson
Fire attended a local business plaza in the area of Edward and first for a dumpster fire. After the fire was extinguished police were contacted as a Jerry can was located and a arson investigation was initiated.
