Assault

A 48 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Tuesday August 20th 2024, STPS were called to investigate the report of an altercation that had turned physical. Officers attended an address on Chestnut Street to speak with the parties involved. Through investigation, officers learned a victim had been pushed and burned with a cigarette. As a result, the 48 year old was charged with Assault, processed and released on an appearance notice. ST24014695

Theft

A 37 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged. On Tuesday August 20th 2024, an individual attended police headquarters to report that their laptop had been stolen. Through investigation, it was learned the laptop was stolen by an individual known to the victim. As a result, the accused has been charged with Theft under $5,000. A warrant for arrest has been requested. ST24014714

Approximately $430 of merchandise has been reported stolen from a retail store on Talbot Street. On Tuesday August 20th 2024, STPS were called to the store to investigate the incident. Police are reviewing video surveillance of the individual responsible as they continue to investigate. ST24014732

Failure to Comply

A 33 year old St. Thomas resident is wanted by police. On Tuesday August 20th 2024, officers were called to investigate the report of unwanted communication. Through investigation, police learned the accused had been in contact with an individual they are currently on conditions to not communicate with. As a result, the 33 year old has been charged with one count of Failure to Comply with Undertaking. A warrant for arrest has been requested. ST24014722

A 46 year old St. Thomas resident is wanted by police. On Tuesday August 20th 2024, officers were called to investigate the report of unwanted communication. Through investigation, police learned the accused had been in contact with an individual they are currently on conditions to not communicate with. As a result, the 46 year old has been charged with one count of Failure to Comply with Undertaking. A warrant for arrest has been requested. ST24014751

Break and Enter

St. Thomas police are currently investigating a residential break and enter. On Tuesday August 20th 2024, officers were called to investigate that incident that occurred at some point over the last week. Through investigation, police learned an unknown person had entered an home on the southside of the city and stole a quantity of jewelry and sports memorabilia valued at approximately $20,000. This remains under investigation. ST24014741

Found Bicycle

Warrant Arrest

A 46 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Wednesday August 21st 2024, STPS responded to the report of a suspicious person at an area on Scott Street. Upon arrival, officers located an individual known to them to be wanted by our service on an outstanding warrant for Assault, stemming from an incident in January of 2024. The 46 year old was transported to police headquarters where they were processed and held for a morning court appearance. ST24014748

A 29 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Wednesday August 21st 2024, officers on community patrol located the individual known to them to be wanted on an outstanding warrant with our service for several drug related offences dating back to May of 2024.
