Failure to Comply
A 41 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Monday August 19th 2024, police were called to investigate the report of the individual attending an address they are on conditions to not attend. Officers located the individual who was charge with one count Breach of Recognizance and transported to police headquarters where they were processed to attend court and subsequently released by the courts. Break and Enter
Approximately $1,000 of tools have been reported stolen in a break and enter incident the occurred over the weekend. On Monday August 19th 2024, police were called to the west end area of the city to investigate the report of a construction site that was left secured on Friday, being entered and the tools stolen. A 71 year old St. Thomas resident that had been charged with Failing to Comply with their Release Order, has been arrested. On Monday August 19th 2024, the individual attended police headquarters to turn themselves in. The 71 year old was processed, made a court appearance and was remanded into custody. Impaired Operation
A 51 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged with Impaired Operation. Just after 5 p.m. on Monday August 19th, police responded to a 911 call in regards to a road rage incident. Officers attended a southside address and located the parties involved. Through investigation, officers determined the 51 year old to be showing signs of impairment and a roadside alcohol screening device was administered, resulting in a fail. The 51 year old was arrested and transported to police headquarters where further testing confirmed the individual to have almost double the legal limit of alcohol in their system.
