Multiple Thefts
St. Thomas Police took a 31 year old male into custody who was responsible for a number of thefts at our local merchants. The crime spree began on Thursday when he entered 2 Shoppers Drug Mart locations stealing a number of electronic items, he continued to the Salvation Thrift Store and finally the Winner’s Store. In all cases he took a number of items without paying for them. The accused was transported to the police station for a court appearance and he is facing a number of criminal charges: Theft under $5000.00, Breach of Release Order X2 and Breaching a Probation Order. *ST21020331
Assault Police
On Saturday November 27 at around 9:00 in the morning Police attended a clinic in the south end of the city for a disturbance. A 38 year old male became unruly, yelling and screaming and he took a large bottle and threw it at police. He kicked a window at the business breaking it. He was taken into custody and transported to the station for a court appearance. The male’s behaviour continued while being processed at the police station, he damaged a telephone. The male is facing a number of charges: Mischief to Property X2, Assault a Peace Officer, Assault with a Weapon, Cause a Disturbance and Breach of Probation. *ST21020376
