On the morning of February 26th police were called to an address on Wellington Street in relation to a woman wanted on outstanding warrants. The 21 year old St. Thomas resident was confirmed wanted on several outstanding warrants. She was arrested, transported to Police Headquarters and subsequently brought to court.
In the early morning hours of February 27th London Police arrested a 36 year old female wanted by St. Thomas Police for theft. St. Thomas Police took custody of the female and transported her to St. Thomas Police Headquarters where she was released with a future court date.
On February 26th at approximately 12:20 pm a lone male entered the LCBO on Talbot Street. The male selected two cans of beer. He then selected and concealed two bottles of liquor before making his way to the checkout. The male purchased the beer but made no effort to pay for the liquor. He left the store and drove east on Talbot St. Police were called and located the male operating the vehicle in the area of the Beer Store. Police observed an open bottle of beer in the front console. Investigation revealed the male was a prohibited driver. As a result a 40 year old London man was arrested and charged with Theft Under $5000.00 and Prohibited Driving under the Criminal Code. He was also charged under the Highway Traffic Act with Drive while Suspended, Drive Motor Vehicle with Open Liquor under the Liquor Licence Act and an offence under the Trespass to Property Act.
On the afternoon of February 26th a 23 year old male attended a residence on Highview Drive. An argument ensued with another male resulting in a physical altercation. The victim received minor injuries as a result. The suspect fled the scene before police arrived. Investigation revealed the suspect was on a prior court order not to associate with the victim. The male faces charges of Assault and Fail to Comply with a Recognizance.
