Warrant / Theft / Breach of Release / Recovered Stolen Vehicle

Warrant

Forty two year old Adam Herr of no fixed address was arrested Wednesday morning.  Officers on Community Patrol were called to a  business on Talbot Street regarding an unwanted person.  When police arrived they recognized Herr as being wanted on a warrant.  The warrant was issued after he failed to attend his scheduled court date to answer to assault charges.  He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Colin McGregor Building where he was held for a bail court appearance. ^18974

Theft

Police are investigating after a credit card was reported stolen and used several times racking up purchases totaling $400.  It is unknown exactly where and when the card was taken.  ^18927

Warrant

A sixty one year old man from Rodney was arrested Wednesday by court security at the Elgin County Court House.  The man attended the location on an unrelated matter when they discovered he was wanted on a warrant.  A bench warrant had been issued for his arrest after he failed to attend his scheduled court date to answer to charges of being in possession of stolen property.  He was taken into custody without incident for processing and held for a bail court appearance. ^18977

Breach of Release

A fifty one year old St Thomas woman was arrested Wednesday night after police located her breaching her court ordered release conditions.  Police were notified by a monitoring system that an individual wearing a monitoring device was breaching their house arrest by being at large in the community.  The woman was tracked down and taken into custody without incident.  She was transported to the Colin McGregor Building where she was charged with one count of Breach of Release Conditions and held for a bail court appearance. 18999

Stolen Vehicle Recovered

A Hyundai Elantra reported stolen from St. Thomas earlier this month has been recovered in London.  Officers with the London Police Service took two people into custody and recovered the vehicle during a traffic stop in the area of Hamilton Road and Rectory Street London.  ^19000
