Warrant

Thirty three year old Dennis Churchill of St. Thomas was arrested Wednesday morning by Court Security Officers at the Elgin County Court House.  Churchill attended the location on an unrelated matter when security discovered he was wanted on a committal warrant after his surety revoked their supervision responsibility.  Churchill was taken into custody without incident and held for a court appearance.

Mischief

Police are investigating after the windshield of a vehicle parked on Wawa Street was smashed sometime Wednesday during the day.  It appears the vandal struck the windshield with an object in three locations causing damage.  If you have any information about this incident or saw anything suspicious in the area please contact STPS at 519-631-1224 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.  Please Refer to Case #ST20016752

Domestic Assault

A twenty year old St. Thomas man was arrested Wednesday night just before midnight after he turned himself in at the Colin McGregor Justice Building.  The man was wanted on a warrant for several domestic related charges after an argument with this estranged girlfriend turned physical.  The man was taken into custody without incident and charged with Mischief to Property x2,   Domestic Assault x2 and Being Unlawfully in a Dwelling.  He was later released on an Undertaking with court date.

Warrant

A thirty year old St. Thomas man was arrested Wednesday night around 10:30 pm on Talbot Street.  Officers on Community Patrol observed the man and recognized him as being wanted on a probation warrant.  The warrant was issued after the man was alleged to have breached his court ordered release conditions.  He was taken into custody without incident and later released on an Appearance Notice for court.

Theft From Vehicle

A forty year old St. Thomas man was arrested early Thursday morning around 2 am in a parking lot on the west end of Talbot Street.  Officers on Community Patrol arrested the man for theft after observing him rummaging through the interior of a vehicle stuffing random contents into a bag.  The man was transported to the Colin McGregor Justice Building where officers seized $400 worth of Fentanyl during processing.  As a result the man was charged with Theft Under $5000,  Drug Possession, Mischief to Property Under $5000 and Breach of Probation.  He was held for a court appearance.
