Warrant

Thirty six year old Matthew Irwin of St. Thomas was arrested Wednesday morning on Talbot Street.  Officers on Community Patrol recognized him as being wanted on a warrant.  The warrant was issued after he was alleged to be in possession of stolen property and breaching his release conditions.  He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Colin McGregor Building for processing.  He was later released on an Undertaking with court date. ^8178

Impaired Operation

A thirty one year old male from Central Elgin was arrested Wednesday evening around 5:30 pm on Talbot Street.  A concerned citizen contacted police to report seeing a male unconscious in his vehicle while parked in a plaza lot.  Officers on Community Patrol attended and woke the driver.  Police suspected the man was impaired so a Standard Field Sobriety Test was conducted.  The driver performed poorly and was taken into custody.  He was transported to the Colin McGregor Building where he was brought before a Drug Recognition Expert Officer.  The driver was deemed to be impaired by drug and was charged with one count Impaired Operation by Drug.  He was later released on an Undertaking with court date.  His vehicle was towed and impounded. ^8193

Breach

A sixty seven year old man of no fixed address was arrested Wednesday night on Talbot Street.  Officers on Community Patrol responded to a trespass report and discovered the man had attended a location he is currently prohibited from as a court ordered condition of his release.  He was taken into custody without incident and charged with Breach of Probation.  He was later released on an Appearance Notice for court. ^8194

Warrant

Forty seven year old Beverly Kimber of no fixed address was arrested Wednesday night on Ross St.  Officers on Community Patrol recognized her as being wanted on a warrant.  The warrant was issued after she was identified as the suspect recorded on store security video shoplifting from Walmart last week. She was taken into custody without incident and charged with Theft Under $5000.  She was later released on an Appearance Notice for court. ^8198

Mischief
