Theft
Thirty four year old Darren Brown of no fixed address was arrested Tuesday afternoon. Officers on Community Patrol were responding to a report of a shoplifter when they located Brown a short distance away matching the suspect description. A stolen backpack full of stolen merchandise was seized and returned to the store. Brown was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Colin McGregor Building for processing. He was charged with Theft Under $5000 and Possession of Stolen Property. He was held in custody for a bail court appearance. ^10747
Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest
A thirty three year old West Lorne man was arrested and a thirty two year old St. Thomas woman charged during a traffic stop Monday. Officers on Community Patrol pulled the vehicle over and discovered the female driver was currently suspended and the male passenger was wanted on a warrant. The warrant was issued after the man was identified as the suspect wanted in connection to a gas drive off. The man was taken into custody without incident for processing. He was charged with Theft Under $5000 and released on an Appearance Notice for court. The woman was charged with driving while under suspension and with no insurance. She was issued a summons for traffic court. ^10760
