A vehicle parked on the second floor of the parking garage located behind Grand Central Apartments on Talbot Street was entered sometime Sunday overnight. A blanket, reusable shopping totes and umbrella were reported missing. Please remember to lock your vehicle and take valuables inside. ^17751
Theft
A vehicle parked in the lane way of a home on Confederation Drive was broken into Sunday night. A wallet containing debit, credit and identification cards was reported missing. A detached shed locate behind the home was also entered. An electric leaf blower was reported stolen from inside. Break and Enter
Forty two year old Kevin Ashford of no fixed address is wanted by police for break and enter at an apartment on Princess Avenue. Ashford was identified as the suspect by the resident who was home sleeping at the time and awoke to find Ashford in the apartment. Ashford fled the area with some property prior to police arrival. He is believed to have been in the company of two other suspects during the break and enter. A television, crossbow, air soft rifle and some clothes are reported missing. Warrant
A forty two year old male of no fixed address was arrested early Tuesday morning. Officers on Community Patrol were called to a disturbance outside of the Emergency Doors at the St Thomas Elgin General Hospital where they took the man into custody. He was alleged to have assaulted security guards at the hospital and was charged with Assault x2. During processing it was discovered he was also wanted on a bench warrant. The warrant was issued after he failed to attend his scheduled court date to answer to charges of Assault. He was transported to the Colin McGregor Building where he was held in custody for a bail court appearance. ^17781
