Vehicle Entry

Breach

Sixty three year old James Snow of no fixed address was arrested Monday night after Officers on Community Patrol observed him breaching his court ordered release conditions.  He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Colin McGregor Building for processing.  He was charged with one count Breach of Probation and later released on an Appearance Notice for court. ^15604

Stolen Bike

Break & Enter

Police are investigating after several bundles of wire were stolen from a fenced compound on Gaylord Road sometime over the weekend.  Staff returned Monday to discover a large hole cut in the fence and seven bundles of TEK90 KLPE electrical cable missing.  If you have any information about this theft or saw anything suspicious in the area please contact STPS at 519-631-1224 or www.stthomas-elgincrimestoppers.ca Refer to case #ST22015617

Stolen Bike

A red and gold BMX DK bike was reported stolen from the bike rack at Arthur Voaden Secondary School Monday afternoon between 1pm and 2:30 pm.  The bike was locked and the lock was also stolen.  If you have any information about this bike please contact STPS at 519-631-1224 or www.stthomas-elgincrimestoppers.ca Refer to case #ST220156

Impaired

A forty seven year old St. Thomas woman was arrested Monday afternoon for impaired driving.  Police began receiving 911 calls after a vehicle was reported hitting two parked vehicles as it travelled down First Ave also failing to stop for a red light.  The STPS Traffic Unit located the vehicle on Elm Street and had to pin the vehicle after it failed to stop for police.  The driver was arrested and transported to the Colin McGregor Building where breath samples taken indicated the woman had 290 mgs of alcohol in 100 mls of blood.  That is almost four times the legal amount.  She was charged with Operation While Impaired by Alcohol -80 Plus and Fail to Stop for Police.  She was later released on an Undertaking with court date.  This was the woman’s third impaired driving charge.

Warrant

A fifty three year old St. Thomas man is wanted on a warrant for one count of Assault.  The warrant was issued after he was alleged to have assaulted his neighbour during an argument.  Minor injuries were reported.  ^15633
