Valuables Stolen in Vehicle Entry

On August 13th police received a report of several items stolen from a vehicle that was parked in a lane way on Daugherty Drive.  Sometime between August 11th at 7:00 pm and August 13th at 10:30 am unknown suspects entered an unlocked vehicle parked in the owner’s lane way.  The culprits stole several items including a “Louis Vuitton” backpack, a “Bose” speaker, a wedding ring and a “Rolex” watch.  Several hundred dollars in cash was also stolen.  The suspects deliberately scratched the exterior of the vehicle and cracked the front windshield.  During the investigation police recovered the speaker and the watch from local pawn shops.  These items were returned to the owner.  The other property is still outstanding.  There are two suspects in this incident.  The first suspect is a white female described as skinny, with blond hair and a “dream catcher” tattoo on her neck.  The second suspect is a tall, thin, white male.  He has curly hair and acne on his face.  Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call STPS at 519-631-1224 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.  Refer to case ST20013517.


On the afternoon of August 13th London Police contacted STPS after they arrested a 41 year old man wanted in St. Thomas on a warrant for theft   The man is alleged to have stolen an elderly woman’s purse from the parking lot at 1063 Talbot St. in July of  last year.  The London resident was transported to St. Thomas by police.  He was subsequently released with a future court date.


On August 13th at approximately 9:30 pm police were called after a woman broke a window on the east side of a business located at 1020 Talbot St.  Upon arrival officers located the woman sitting  near a neighbouring business.  The woman was taken into custody without incident and transported to the police station.  The 61 year old St. Thomas woman has been charged with 1 count of Mischief.  She was released with a future court date.


On August 13th at approximately 11:00 pm police on patrol conducted a traffic stop on Talbot Line near Centennial Ave.  Investigation revealed the driver and lone occupant of the vehicle was bound by several court orders.  One of the conditions included a curfew.  The 40 year old male was in breach of four such conditions and was arrested at the scene.  He was transported to the police station and held for court.  He is charged with 1 count of Fail to Comply with a release order and 3 counts of Fail to Comply with Probation.
