Theft

Police are investigating after two catalytic converters were stolen sometime Wednesday overnight from vehicles parked in the parking lot of a car repair shop on Edward Street near the intersection of Burwell Rd.  If you have any information about this theft or saw anything suspicious in the area please contact STPS at 519-631-1224 or www.stthomas-elgincrimestoppers.ca Refer to case #ST22014867

Warrant

A thirty two year old male of no fixed address was arrested Thursday.  Officers on Community Patrol Recognized him as being wanted.  A probation warrant was issued after he was alleged to have breached his court ordered release conditions.  He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Colin McGregor Building for processing.  He was later released on an Appearance Notice for court. ^14905

Warrant

Forty three year old Kerri Webber was arrested Thursday on Fifth Ave.  Officers on Community Patrol recognized her as being wanted on a warrant.  A bench warrant was issued for her arrest after she failed to attend her scheduled court date.  She was taken into custody without incident for processing and later released on an Appearance Notice for court. ^14915

Vehicle Entry

Recovered Stolen Vehicle

A Ford F150 stolen from the parking lot of a business on Highbury Avenue on Wednesday has been recovered.  Officers with the Chatham – Kent Police Service located the truck abandoned in Chatham.  The vehicle was towed to a local compound.  Police continue to investigate.  If you have any information about this incident or saw anything suspicious in the area please contact STPS at 519-631-1224 or www.stthomas-elgincrimestoppers.ca Refer to case #ST22014928

Assault

Thirty six year old Justin Lariviere of not fixed address was arrested Thursday after police were called to a disturbance on Hill Street.  Lariviere had set up a tent and lit a fire on private property.  When the owner attended the location to check the origin of the smoke he was confronted by Lariviere who swung a large stick at his head.  Lariviere then followed him back through the wooded lot threatening to kill him and burn his house down.  Police attended the area and located Lariviere a short distance away.  He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Colin McGregor Justice Building where he was charged with Assault with a Weapon, Utter Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm and Utter Threats to Damage Property.  He was later released on an Undertaking with court date. ^14929

Wanted

A fourteen year old is wanted by Police after Officers on Community Patrol were called to a disturbance at a family residence.  The youth is alleged to have damaged a wall in the home during an argument.  They are now wanted for Mischief to Property Under $5000.  ^14942
