Theft, Warrant, Assault and Impaired

Theft – ST21020987

Police are investigating two thefts from construction sites overnight on December 23rd on Acorn Trail and Harlequin Court.  Unknown suspect(s) removed electrical wiring from two sites.  If you have any information about these crimes, please contact STPS at 519-631-1224 or submit a tip online at www.stthomascrimestoppers.ca. Warrant – ST21022019

A 19 year old male from St. Thomas was arrested Thursday evening by officer on community patrol.  The male was taken into custody without incident on the strength of an outstanding endorsed bench warrant.  The male is facing charges of fail to comply with release order, prowl at night, fail to comply with undertaking, mischief under $5000 and theft under $5000.  The male was later released with a future court date.

Assault – ST21022020

A 55 year old male from St. Thomas was arrested Friday evening for being intoxicated in a public place in the 100 block of Wellington Street.  The male became combative with the arresting officers and is now charged with resist a peace officer and four counts of assault a peace officer. The male was released from custody with a future court date.

Impaired – ST21022030

A 64 year old male from Dorchester was arrested for impaired operation Saturday morning at 2:33 a.m. when an officer on general patrol located a vehicle in the ditch at the intersection of Centennial Road and Highway 3 By-pass.  Breath samples taken indicated that he had more than twice the legal limit of alcohol in his system.  The male is charged with operation while impaired, operation while impaired blood alcohol concentration (80 plus) and operation while prohibited.  The male was released from custody with a future court date.
