Theft

Police are investigating the theft of two home security cameras from a house on Wellington Street near Hincks.  The cameras were both mounted to the house in the backyard. Wanted

A thirty seven year old St. Thomas woman of no fixed address is wanted by police after she was identified as the suspect recorded on store security video shoplifting over $400 worth of fragrances from a Shoppers Drug Mart.  She is wanted for Theft Under $5000. ^15490

Stolen Bike

Three bikes were reported stolen from the front porch of a home on Ross Street Saturday night.  One green women’s classic cruiser style and two grey men’s classic cruiser style.  The two grey bikes were located by police on the front lawn of a home on Forest Ave.  The green bike has not been found.  If you have any information about this theft or saw anything suspicious in the area please contact STPS at 519-631-1224 or submit a tip at www.stthomas-elgincrimestoppers.ca Refer to case #ST22015557

Warrant

Twenty one year old Nickolas Churchill was arrested Sunday after he turned himself in at the Colin McGregor Building.  Churchill was wanted on eight separate warrants for several charges including Mischief Endangering Life, Theft, Possession of Stolen Property and several Breach of Release.  He was taken into custody without incident and held for a bail court appearance. ^15558

Theft

Warrant

A sixty two year old St. Thomas man wanted on a warrant for Sexual Interference was arrested Sunday morning on Ross Street. Officers on Community Patrol were in the area on an unrelated matter when they observed the man and recognized him as being wanted.  He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Colin McGregor Building for processing.  He was later released on an Undertaking with court date. ^15562

Fraud

A thirty four year old St. Thomas woman is out $250 after falling victim to an online investing scam.  The woman believed she was buying Euros to be invested by an advisor.  She sent photos of her identification and credit card over the internet along with all her contact info to complete the transaction.  The woman even spoke with someone over the phone representing the firm GMPortal.co claiming to be one of their advisors.   The website indicated her balance of 3,000 Euros had suddenly climbed to 40,000 Euros prompting the woman to want to cash out her investment.  When she tried the website had been taken down, all the phone numbers she had been provided were fake and her money is gone.  Please protect yourself and your money.  For more information on regularly circulating scams please visit www.antifraudcentre.ca  ^15592

Theft
