On Wednesday May 16, 2018 at around 3:30 p.m. St. Thomas police stopped a cyclist for a Highway Traffic Act violation. The 26 year old man was found to be in possession of a quantity of meat that he was unable to provide a receipt for. Investigation revealed that the $253.00 worth of meat had been stolen from a local grocery store. The male was arrested and charged with one count of Theft Under $5000, one count of Breach of Probation and one count of Breach of Undertaking. The accused was later released with a future court date.
