Sunday Night media release for August 14th, 2022

On the 12th day of August 2022 St. Thomas Police arrested a 62 year old London man for theft over $5000.  This stems from an investigation where the accused was working at a flooring company and selling products on the side.  The male was released on a future court date.  ST22012730

On the 12th day of August 2022 police attended a High Street fitness facility for a theft.  Police investigation determined that the victim had her purse and wallet taken from the locker.  Anyone with information is asked to contact STPS.  ST22012732

On the 12th day of August 2022 St. Thomas Police attended St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital for an unwanted person.  Police attended and removed the male who also had threatened a physician.  The male was charged with threats and released on a future court date.  ST22012736

On the 12th day of August 2022 police attended an East Street address for a theft.  The victim reports their doorbell camera was stolen overnight.  Anyone with information is asked to contact STPS or Crimestoppers.  ST22012738.

Police are currently seeking a warrant for a 50 year old St. Thomas woman for failing to comply with her release.  She was on conditions not to associate or communicate with certain members of her family which she failed to abide by.  ST22012743

On the 12th day of August 2022 police attended a Locust Street residence for a vehicle entry.  Taken was an umbrella and a case containing compact discs.  Anyone with information is asked to contact STPS. ST22012762.

Police attended a Steele Street address for a theft of a purse.  The victim was visiting a friend’s apartment when she notice her purse went missing.  The matter is still under investigation as we are currently awaiting video to determine a suspect.  ST22012773.

St. Thomas Police are currently investigating a residential break and enter on Woodworth Avenue.  Overnight between August 12th-13th someone entered a shed in the backyard of the property.  At this time it appears nothing is missing.  ST22012804.

Police attended a Talbot Street address for a mischief to an air conditioning unit.  The owner of the building had observed the unit to have the copper wiring cut from it.  Anyone with information is aksed to contact STPS or Crimestoppers.  ST22012810.

On the 14th day of August 2022 police attended a Princess Avenue shelter for a call for service.  During the call police determined one of the males involved was wanted by our service.  A 27 year old male was taken into custody on the outstanding warrant and released on a future court date.  ST220120
