St. Thomas Police Service media release for Sunday June 26th, 2022

On the 25th day of June 2022 St. Thomas Police Service and St. Thomas Fire Service attended a working fire at an abandon building located on Wilson Avenue.  There was extensive damage to the remaining structure that has bene vacant for some time.  St. Thomas Police and Fire are working cohesively to determine the origin of this fire.  Anyone with information is asked to contact STPS and reference Incident # ST22009685.

On the 25th day of June 2022 a 31 year old St. Thomas man attended Police Headquarters and turned himself in on an outstanding warrant.  The warrant was issued after the male failed to comply with his undertaking he was at large on.  The male was processed and released on a future court date.

St. Thomas Police Service is currently investigating a break and enter to a secure compound located at the Elgin Railway Museum on Wellington Street.  Sometimes between September 2021 and this date a fenced compound was entered and parts removed from an air conditioning unit making it inoperable.  Anyone with information is asked to contact STPS and reference incident # ST22009707.

On the 25th of June 2022 police received a complaint regarding a break and enter to a shed on First Avenue.  Stolen from the shed was a black Fuji 1.1 Crosstown 24 speed bicycle.  Anyone with information regarding this occurrence is asked to contact STPS and reference Incident # ST22009719.

On the 25th day of June 2022 St. Thomas Police arrested a 55 year old St. Thomas man who was wanted by the Chatham-Kent Police Service.  The male was processed and released on a future court date.
