St. Thomas Police Service media release for Saturday August 20th, 2022

St. Thomas Police Service is currently investigating a break and enter to a Southwick Street business.  Someone entered the business overnight between August 18th and 19th.  Removed were 2 laptop computers.  Anyone with information is asked to contact STPS and reference incident # ST22013156.

On the 19th day of August 2022 police attended the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital for an unwanted person.  Police arrived and security was dealing with a 42 year old St. Thomas man in the parking lot.  Police investigation revealed that 2 security guards were assaulted by this male.  The male was taken inti custody for assault and released on a future court date.  ST22013178

Police are investigating a theft of a scooter from the public library on Curtis Street.  While the owner was inside the library the scooter was taken.  The scooter is black and white.   Anyone with information is asked to contact STPS or Crimestoppers.  ST22013186.

On the 19th day of August 2022 St. Thomas Police arrested a St. Thomas Youth for fail to comply with release conditions.  The youth as communicating with someone they were not allowed to.  The youth was arrested and released on a future court date.  The youth cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.  ST22013190
