St. Thomas Police Service media release for Monday August 2nd, 2021

Back on Friday July 30th 2021 a bicycle was stolen from a Northside residence.  The bicycle is white and orange GT aggressor bicycle.  Incident # ST21012647.

Still on the 30th of July 2021 Police took a report of a bicycle taken from a locked room within an apartment building on Elm Street.  The bicycle is described as a dusty blue “Rock” mountain bike.  Incident # ST21012652.

Police attended a store located in the 1063 Talbot block for a shoplifter.  As a result a 46 year old St. Thomas woman is charged with one count of theft.  The female was released on a future court date.

On the 1st day of August 2021 Police attended an East Street address for a report of property damage.  The complainant indicates they had a vase and garden statue damaged sometime overnight.  Anyone with information contact STPS and reference incident # ST21012765.

As a result of a single motor vehicle collision on the 13th day of May 2021 on Sunset Drive a 23 year old St. Thomas man has been charged with impaired operation and Fail to remain under the Highway Traffic Act.  The male was released on a future court date.

On the 1st day of August 2021 St. Thomas Police Service was notified by the London Police Service that they had a 25 year old St. Thomas man in custody on our arrest warrant.  The male was transported to St. Thomas where he was held for a court appearance and remanded into custody.

St. Thomas Police Service is currently investigating a vehicle entry just south of Talbot Street.  The vehicle was parked in the driveway of the residence and property was removed sometime overnight on July 31st-August 1st 2021.   Anyone with information is asked to contact STPS and reference incident # ST21012770.

On the 1st of August 2021 just before 1 PM Police were dispatched to a disturbance in the 400 block of Talbot Street.  Police investigation revealed a 45 year old St. Thomas man had assaulted a security guard at a local drop in centre.  As a result the male was charged with assault and released on a future court date.

St. Thomas Police was contacted a second time on the 1st day of August 2021 by the London Police Service regarding them having a 32 year old St. Thomas man in custody on two STPS arrest warrants.  The male was returned to St. Thomas and held for a court appearance on this date.

On the 1st day of August 2021 just before 10 PM police received a call regarding a dumpster fire in the downtown area.  Police attended and arrested a 36 year old female for Arson.  She was held for a court appearance.
