Shoplifter arrested

Loss Prevention at Unusual Finds store in the west end of St. Thomas observed a female in their store conceal a $3.00 pair of glasses in their pants.  The suspect left the store without paying and walked westbound on Talbot St.   Officers on Community Patrol were contacted and the female was located at Talbot and Pearl St.   35 year-old Danielle Sheehan was arrested without incident.  She gave Police a false name as she was wanted in two other jurisdictions.  Police located stolen property from three other victims and also a flick knife on her.  Sheehan was transported to the Colin McGregor Justice Building for processing.  She was charged with Theft under $5,000, Obstruct Police, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Possession of property obtained by crime x3 and was turned over to London Police on their warrant.

Warrant Arrest

A 57 year old St. Thomas man was arrested yesterday on an outstanding warrant, he has missed his court date.  He was transported to the Colin McGregor Justice Building for processing and was later released with a future court date.

ALPR success

An officer on Community Patrol last night was notified by the vehicles Automatic License Plate Reader that the registered owner of a vehicle on Elm St. was a suspended driver for unpaid fines.  The vehicle was pulled over the the female driver was spoken to and identified as the owner of the vehicle.  The driver had also moved 5 months prior and had failed to change the address on her drivers license.  The driver was charged with two Highway Traffic Act offences for Driving while under suspension and fail to notify change of address on drivers license.
