A forty seven year old female was arrested at 7 pm Friday night for shoplifting at the Walmart store. The woman showed up at the store with several reusable shopping bags and proceeded to the grocery section placing items in the bags. Loss prevention employees noticed the woman and followed her around the store as she continued to shop. The woman then went to cash out placing approximately half the items on the belt and concealing the other half with empty bags in the cart. She paid for half the items and proceeded to leave the store making no attempt to pay for the remaining items in the cart. The woman was arrested for theft without incident and $ 135 in stolen merchandise was recovered. The accused was charged with one count of theft under $ 5000 and released with a court date to answer to the charge.
