Seatbelt Lane

Officers on Community Patrol conducted a seatbelt inspection lane Monday afternoon.  Approximately 275 drivers were spoken to and two tickets were issued. ^8510

Break and Enter

Pedestrian Struck

Police are looking for a light grey Ford SUV after a teen was struck Monday morning around 8:15 am.  Witnesses report the teen was crossing the entrance to the north lot at St. Joseph’s High School when a vehicle exited turning left into the path of  the teen and then continuing northbound on Fairview Ave.  The driver is described a male with dark hair.  The vehicle made contact with the hip and thigh of the pedestrian pushing them onto Fairview Ave however no injuries were reported.  If you have any information about this incident please contact STPS at 519-631-1224 or submit a tip online at www.stthomascrimestoppers.ca Refer to case #ST22008512

Warrant

Forty one year old Kevin Ashford of no fixed address was arrested Monday afternoon.  Officers on Community Patrol recognized him as being wanted on a warrant.  The warrant was issued after he was identified as the suspect recorded on store security video trying to steal a tv, sound bar and projector from Walmart.  He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Colin McGregor Building for processing.  He was charged with Theft Under $5000 and three counts Breach of Release Conditions and held for a bail court appearance. ^8529

Fail to Remain

Warrant

Forty six year old David Parsons of St. Thomas was arrested Monday night.  Officers on Community Patrol were dealing with him on an unrelated matter when they discovered he was wanted .  A warrant was issued for his arrest after he was alleged to have breached his court ordered release conditions.  He was taken into custody without incident for processing and later released on an Appearance Notice for court. ^8564
