Search warrant – Stolen Property, drugs and weapons seized

On the 17th of March 2021 members of the St Thomas Police Service Street Crimes Unit, with assistance from Criminal Investigations and uniform patrol, executed a search warrant in an apartment located at 32 Princess Avenue in the City of St Thomas. This address has been active in both the drug subculture and stolen property.

On Searching the residence Police seized a quantity of Morphine and Hydromorphone as well as recovering a .22 caliber rifle, ammunition, a crossbow, and 2 imitation firearms.

Police further located a number of tools reported stolen earlier this year during a residential break and enter.

The apartment resident, 30 year old Aaron Watt of St Thomas, was arrested as a result of the investigation and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime, unauthorized possession of a firearm, and 10 counts of failure to comply with release order(s).

The street value of the drugs seized is estimated at $2550.00

Watt was held overnight awaiting morning court where he was later remanded into custody.
