St. Thomas police are investigating after a male party showed up at a residence bloodied and allegedly beaten on Friday. The male victim alleged that he was bound and beaten inside a nearby home, and was able to later escape through a basement window where he was being held. The male victim has identified two male suspects responsible, both of which were known to him. One of the male suspects, a 47 year old St. Thomas man, remains at large, the other a 29 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested and charged. He will appear in Weekend and Statutory Holiday Court today. The male victim received minor injuries and was not hospitalized as a result of the attack. The second male that remains at large does not pose a threat to the community as this is believed to be an isolated incident.
Mailboxes fall victim to Thieves……Again
Police are investigating a number of thefts and mischief to mailboxes at residences on Highview Drive. Numerous mailboxes were entered, rummaged through and items taken sometime over the night on Thursday March 21. There are no suspects at this time. Residents are reminded to remain vigilant in reporting suspicious activity in and around their buildings.
Watch for Laundry Room Locker Thefts
St. Thomas Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspicious female seen in and around shared Laundry rooms in the Holland Street area. Residents reported seeing a suspicious female in a building’s laundry room early on Friday morning. A nearby building on Holland Street, later fell victim to damage and thefts from secure lockers in its laundry room. Residents are again reminded to report suspicious activity and persons in the area.
