Off Road Vehicle
A sixteen year old has been summonsed to court after officers spotted him riding a dirt bike without a helmet along Leger Avenue near McGibbon Street in the city yesterday around the noon hour. The youth was stopped and issued infractions for operating a motor vehicle on a road way with no licence, no licence plates, no permit, no helmet and no insurance. The youth is scheduled to appear in traffic court next month.
Warrant
A thirty three year old Belmont man wanted on a warrant by the St. Thomas Police Service was arrested yesterday afternoon around 1 pm in London by Middlesex O.P.P. Officers were dealing with the man on an unrelated matter when they discovered the warrant. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Colin McGregor Justice Building for processing. The man was later released on a Promise to Appear in Court. The warrant was issued after an incident back in February in the city of St. Thomas which resulted in the man being charged with one count of Assault and one count Breach of Release Conditions.
Arrest
A St. Thomas man was arrested yesterday afternoon around 3:30 pm after shoplifting from the Real Canadian Superstore. The man fled the area after he was stopped by Loss Prevention Officers for trying to leave the store without paying for a bag full of steak and chocolate. Police stopped the man a short distance away and took him into custody without incident. As a result thirty five year old Jeremy LeBlanc was charged one count Theft Under $5000 and one count Breach of Release Conditions and held at the Colin McGregor Justice Building for court.
Fail to Stop for School Bus
A nineteen year old St. Thomas man has been charged with failing to stop for a school bus. The incident happened on Monday during the morning pick up route on the north end of the city. Witnesses called police to report the licence plate of a black truck pass seen passing the bus while it was stopped with the lights and arm bar activated. Police were able to track down the owner of the truck who had loaned his vehicle to another driver. The driver was identified and issued a ticket for $490 and six demerit points.
Warrant
A thirty three year old St. Thomas man was arrested last night around 8 pm. Officers saw the man on Talbot Street and recognized him as being wanted on a bench warrant. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Colin McGregor Justice Building where he was held for a court appearance. The warrant was issued after the man failed to attend his court date to answer to several fraud related charges from an incident back in June.

Thirty two year old Justin Boutilier of St. Thomas was arrested last night around 9 pm on Talbot Street. Officers were dealing with Boutilier on an unrelated matter when they discovered he was wanted on a warrant for Theft Under $5000 and Breach of Release Conditions. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Colin McGregor Justice Building where he was held for court.
Warrant
A thirty seven year old St. Thomas man is wanted after he violated his court ordered release conditions. Police attended the man’s court approved release address for a compliance check to ensure he was abiding by his court ordered curfew to be in his residence after 11 pm. When Officers spoke with the homeowner at the address they were advised the man did not live there and never had. As a result the man is now wanted on a warrant for Breach of Release Condition.
