Sometime between Oct. 10-12 unknown person entered the rear yard of residence on Balaclava Street (in the 60’s) and cut a hole in the east fence. On Oct. 12 at approximately 1830hrs, homeowners heard two people in their yard. Male and a female, hoodies, male had tattoos on his hand. Female had a cleft lip. They stated they were looking for a backpack in the yard and were polite, and left on their own accord. They did not have any backpacks or tools with them. It is unknown if these parties were responsible for cutting the fence but it appears likely they were there to case the residence/garage. ALWAYS ensure you property is secured and PLEASE report ALL suspicious behviour. Our neighbours in Elgin County, London, Stratford and Strathroy are also experiencing increased property crime.
