On Saturday August 28, 2021 an officer on general patrol located a male wanted on an outstanding warrant. When advised he was under arrest the male fled on foot. As a result; 35 year old James Slaughter is currently wanted on the outstanding warrant and now additional charges of escaping lawful custody, failing to comply with a release order (x2), and failing to comply with probation (x2).
On Saturday August 28, 2021 a red Norco bicycle with white front shocks was stolen from the backyard of a Wellington Street residence. The bike was locked however the culprit(s) was able to remove the bicycle with exception of the back tire which had been locked to a pole.
On Sunday August 29, 2021 just after midnight a male in the downtown core was reportedly assaulted by another male after being asked for a cigarette. The male suffered a minor injury to his mouth as a result of the assault. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to contact the St. Thomas Police Service at (519) 631-1224.
